One more thing. I noticed an error at the bottom of pages, including the login page saying:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function apply_filters() in /nas/wp/www/staging/theastro/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1512
Googling suggest the possibility of plugin conflict:
