On Android versions below 4.4, the stock Browser (including Samsung's version of it) doesn't properly support all CSS3 selectors. Try a different browser, such as Dolphin or Google Chrome.
Also, why not upgrade your SGS3's software to 4.4? Samsung refused to update some variants of this phone officially, but there are good unofficial builds available.
