Thank you very much Jon, for pushing the investigation to the very end. The membership plugin has been quite problematic for us, and this seems to be another one we've stumbled into. I'll relay this info to the team and get back to you. As you've tested, my testing of deactivating/reactivating the membership plugin shows the same results. At least, we know that your end of the code is working as intended, which is great!... regardless of what the resolution is on our side (re: membership plugin), I hope this iteration will be something that makes it into the next version and will be useful for other users of the plugin.
