One (2.8.4) is already approved and waiting to be made live by a theme reviews admin. This is usually a short process, but it seems the theme admins are still in holiday break mode.
The next update (2.8.5) I'm continuing to build and will at the very least include the ability to put the navigation in the sidebar "out of the box." I'm continuing to develop this update and I'm submitting it as soon as 2.8.4 goes live. If 2.8.4 takes long enough to be made live, then I'll have time to finish the navigation menu revamp completely. Otherwise, this will be pushed to the next update.
So, in short, less than a month. I put all my code on GitHub too, so you can feel free to look around and download in development versions there. You may be interested in this comparison.
